SharePoint360 Business Intelligence
Dashboards
Once an organization has analyzed its mission, identified all its
stakeholders, and defined its goals, it needs a way to measure progress
toward those goals. Key Performance Indicators are those measurements.
Executives and decision makers need at-a-glance access to key
business metrics so they can quickly assess the health of the business
and take command when conditions change. With Key Performance Indicators
(KPIs) for Microsoft Business Solutions, companies can define and
deliver instant access to personalized views of key business information
via a Web-based portal. Profitability, debt-to-equity, and gross margin
by product line are just a few of the KPIs you can create.
Once KPI’s have been defined, you can use either Microsoft Office
SharePoint Portal Server or Microsoft Windows SharePoint Services to
create a dashboard to display essential data for your users. This data
could come from various SQL databases including Microsoft Dynamics,
Microsoft CRM, and even excel workbooks in the form of a tabular sheet,
pivot charts and tables, and SharePoint lists.
